What to expect…

Thank you for taking the time out to visit my website and read this {and hopefully more} articles! Whether you are following me on social media or just happened to land here by accident {I believe that everything happens for a reason so I cross fingers that I can make your visit here worthwhile}, I hope that this can inspire you & add value in some way.

The aim of it to share my journey – both professionally and my life journey with all it’s ups and downs – with you, not to brag or whine, but rather inspire. I find inspiration and strength in other people’s journeys – the barriers they had to overcome, the roadblocks that lead to following new paths, the heartbreaks, the achievements.

People that inspire me are not always the “well-known” / influential ones like Richard Branson, Steve Maraboli or Ryk Neethling. Yes, I do look up to them with a lot of respect, but it is also the stories of the single mom with three kids who struggled to find work after her husband passed away, that decided to take a brave step and start her own business and after years of long hours, struggle and tons of tears are now opening her third store; it’s the youth of today who do not allow any political factors and history from influencing them in dreaming big and chasing those dreams, building up communities; it’s the old “oom & tannie” who have given so much of themselves in their lives, who are not able to physically show you much of their achievements, but can share with you stories that are priceless.

I receive a lot of messages on social networks thanking me for being an inspiration, posting positive sayings and encouraging words, and I will continue to do so. BUT… it’s the people whom I get to interact with that inspire me to become a better person, who keeps me humble and motivates me to become a better person.

I hope that as I share information, tips, advice etc. that it will rub off on others to do the same. There is a perception that one is not allowed to talk about your mistakes and failures as it’s embarrassing. Really? What is the use of learning those lessons, if we cannot share it? So share your story! You never know who it may inspire…

Hi Magdel I’m very inspired by your work and I would like some advice from you. I’m currently a full time sports administrator and I’m about to start my own initiative to assist amateur sport with promoting and marketing their sport codes through various platforms of social media. The objective of the project is to grow amateur sport and attract sponsorship.Overall the project intends to guide sport administrators to deliver sport in communities in a way that it has never been done before.

I am based in Cape Town in the Mitchells Plain area and I would appreciate meeting you if possible.
